Ninja Backer Tipping for VDO.Ninja

I've created a tipping service, NinjaBacker.com, which is now integrated into VDO.Ninja. Performers can receive tips directly from viewers and room guests during streams.

This works with both private intimate P2P streams via an integrated tipping button, or with larger streams to YouTube/Twitch using the QR code video overlay option.

How to Use

For Performers

Add &tip=YOUR_TIP_ID to your VDO.Ninja push link to enable tipping:

For Viewers

Viewers need &showtips to see the tip button and/or QR code:

Setting Up Your Own Account

1. Visit ninjabacker.com/register
2. Create a username and connect your Stripe account
3. Use your Tip ID from the dashboard with &tip=YOUR_TIP_ID

Note: New accounts use Stripe's live mode, meaning real payments only. To test your own setup, use the "Send Test Tip" button in your dashboard — it triggers a fake tip notification without any payment.

Tip Notifications

When tips come in, they appear in multiple places:

Profile Avatars

Your tip page avatar is pulled automatically from Gravatar using your Stripe email. Set one up at gravatar.com if you'd like a profile picture.
